Founded in Ankara in 1980, TAMSAN Compressors, with over 45 years of industrial experience, is one of Türkiye’s well-established industrial compressed air manufacturers. What began with the production of reciprocating compressors and spare parts has evolved into a strong engineering-driven organization, expanding its manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio over time. At the core of this transformation lies a commitment to delivering high performance with optimized cost structures and sustainable value for customers.
Operating from its own modern production facility located on a 7,200 m² site in Başkent Organized Industrial Zone (Ankara), TAMSAN manufactures more than 50 types of compressors of its own design. The product range primarily includes rotary screw compressors, along with reciprocating, silobas, booster, and portable diesel compressors. In addition, TAMSAN produces its own air receiver tanks in-house, offering customers a complete and integrated compressed air solution. TAMSAN also stands out as the only local manufacturer capable of producing its own air ends (screw blocks).
Energy efficiency is at the core of TAMSAN’s technology focus. TAMSAN is the first company in Türkiye to offer IPM motor rotary
screw compressors (“Servo Series”), achieving high energy savings, and has become a market leader in this segment with over 10 years of experience.
In 2025, following the acquisition of a majority stake by an investor group and a simultaneous capital investment, TAMSAN entered a new phase. This step has created strong momentum for more structured, sustainable, and scalable growth. In this new phase, the company focuses on increasing capacity, improving production efficiency, accelerating the launch of innovative products, strengthening brand awareness both domestically and internationally, and achieving more systematic growth in exports.
Today, with its TAMSAN and Wendel brands, the company exports regularly to more than 25 countries, aiming to further expand its global reach through strong distributor partnerships in key markets.

TAMSAN was founded in Ankara, starting its operations in a small workshop in OSTİM with spare parts supply and industrial trade.
The first production line was established with reciprocating compressors, achieving a strong market position with high-capacity solutions under the conditions of the time.
In response to market demand, the product range was expanded with the introduction of portable diesel compressors, positioning TAMSAN among the pioneering manufacturers in Türkiye in this field.
Production infrastructure was strengthened with investments in conventional (universal) machinery, increasing capacity and operational flexibility.
Low-pressure silobas compressors and high-pressure compressor solutions were added to the portfolio, expanding product diversity.
With investments in CNC machinery, production standardization improved, elevating quality, precision, and repeatability to a higher level.
TAMSAN entered international markets by exporting reciprocating compressors to mining operations in Armenia.
The production of the first rotary screw compressor marked a new era in TAMSAN’s industrial compressed air solutions.
With partnerships and distributor structuring in Russia, exports of rotary screw compressors began, strengthening the export network.
The foundation of the current factory was laid in line with growing production targets, initiating the transition to a larger capacity and more modern production infrastructure.
The new factory became operational, enabling a more modern and scalable production structure, while increasing efficiency and capacity.
The first TAMSAN airend (screw block) was designed and developed through in-house R&D, introducing a critical component of compressor manufacturing to local engineering.
Investments in machinery and processes enabled the transition to serial production of airends, strengthening capacity and standardization.
With entry into the UK market, TAMSAN UK was established, expanding presence and sales network across Europe.
As a pioneering step in energy efficiency, TAMSAN began producing Servo (PM) motor-driven compressors in Türkiye.
The Dual Servo compressor was developed to achieve higher efficiency, strengthening the focus on energy savings and performance.
With the establishment of a Germany-based structure, access to international markets became more institutionalized, and export operations were strengthened.
The number of export countries and active markets increased, achieving a stronger international presence, particularly across Europe.
Following the transfer of majority shares and simultaneous investment, TAMSAN entered a new phase of more structured and sustainable growth.
